"I just received the 257 in Brown from Crane's (first order from them and won't be the last - fabulous service and turnaround - highly highly recommended - thank you David!). I am using it as an everyday briefcase including for a laptop. I've found that there is plenty of room for the laptop (T400 Thinkpad, if that helps with dimensions), pens, pencils, HP 12, BBerry, etc., the newspaper in an outside pocket and with room left over that I can comfortably lug a pretty sizeable amount of paperwork as well (say 3 inch stack with no issues). I gotta say I also love the bag - looks great, is really well constructed with exceptionally sturdy mtls/hardware, very durable and I think will age very nicely. Was torn on the color and decided to chance it with the brown (mostly b/c I fear a lighter color will get dirty quickly) and am now loving the color. At david's price, whatever color you choose will be a ridiculous bargain. Have received lots of comments recently."
