May Day

By David Crane

Again, sorry for being late, but we have had lots of distractions around the stove!  You’ll see in a separate article, we have seniors graduating within the Crane’s Store family.  And then of course Shanellen has been gone with the birth of her and Andrew’s son Charlie!  Born Charles Shelton Sullivan on April 26th.  21 Inches and 7# 11 oz for the statistic minded.  Congrats!!

I have just experienced Trask’s graduation and getting ready for Mason’s.  Then apartment hunting for Trask and dorm shopping for Mason.  Then an empty nest!  Don’t know if I’m ready for that eventuality but bring it on.

Also, around the stove, the Liar’s Club is back.  The gentlemen have been vaccinated and are happy to be back.  Come see them on a Thursday for lunch and bring a good lie.

We are still re-arranging in the store, trying to make things more shoppable.  Be patient with our changes and we hope you’ll be pleased.

Hope to be on time next month and we’ll see you around the stove!

Happening Around the Burg

The Williamsburg Community Center will hold its summer fish fry on Saturday, June 26th, from 5 to 7pm at the center. Suggested donation is $10.00, children age 12 and under are free. Our center is showing its age. We have had to make repairs to the water line this year, the roof is looking kind of shaggy and we’re going to have to remove some trees. Come join us and help keep her shining for years to come.

June 20th is Father’s Day and Marlene's Restaurant will be serving lasagna from noon until it’s gone.
