The Browning Gannett 5500 is made for backcountry hunters who need serious carrying capacity without unnecessary frame weight. Its cavernous 5,500-cubic-inch design gives you room for extended hunts, while the rigid 100% carbon-fiber external frame helps manage demanding loads on the trek in and the pack out.
When the hunt is successful, drop or remove the pack section to access the integrated meat shelf. Four frame straps secure boned-out meat or heavy quarters, and eight additional adjustment points help stabilize the complete load. The frame, meat shelf, and pack section can also be configured independently for the task at hand.
Organized, Accessible Storage
The spacious main compartment opens from the top or through a large duffel-style front opening, making buried gear easier to reach. A dual-access front pocket accommodates a large spotting scope, while lid compartments and mesh pockets keep smaller essentials organized. An overstuff feature provides several hundred additional cubic inches when you need extra room.
Adjustable Comfort for Heavy Loads
A fully adjustable harness helps create a secure, personalized fit across a wide range of body types. The padded shoulder straps provide more than five inches of torso adjustment and can be angled for broad or narrow shoulders. Adjustable lumbar padding, contoured hip-belt cushioning, repositionable load lifters, and one-hand belt tightening help distribute weight comfortably across your back and hips.
